BAROZZI CAKE

It looks like a small lump of earth and as a plate crumbles … It’s a lovely mystery where thousands of aromas that confuse the palate in a symphony of sweetness… It was created under the name of “black cake” at the end nineteenth century by Eugenio Gollini, who in 1887 had opened a pastry shop in the heart of the town of Modena Vignola
In 1907, during the fourth centenary of the birth of Jacopo Barozzi, called “Il Vignola”, it was renamed in “Pasta Barozzi”, which later became “Torta Barozzi”.
